As-salamu alaykum sisters, 

Life has a way of throwing unexpected challenges our way, and I've been through some rough waters myself. My journey over the past year has been filled with struggles that have tested my resilience and strength. From losing my job to facing financial hardships, I've experienced feelings of uncertaintty and vulnerability like never before.  I want to take a moment to share my personal challenges with you as a single mother and divorcee, I come to you with complete transparantcy and openness. I lost my job in July 2024, due to clossing of buisness, while waiting for unemployment to kick in I  searched but couldn't land a job.  Faced with a difficult situation without a steady income, I struggled to make ends meet. It's hard to admit, but I didn't have enough food to feed my kids and was not able to receive food stamps for assistance due to the long waiting  process.  My children and I moved in with my mother due to homelessness, which added to my stress. While I appreciated her love and help the situation was overwhelming at times, and the reality of not having enough space dawned on me. I confided in religious organizations, financial help organizations, I even started a GoFundMe, and no one I turned to could help me, which was odd to me to say the least.  So I kept trusting in  ALLAH and asked for his guidance, I also asked HIM to use me as a helping hand for other women who face thses dificult times, and that is what bought me here. Binta Events, a simple event holding idea has now been redirected and recreated into something much more needed, something much more beautiful and wholesome. A safe gathering place for Muslim women to recieve the support that they need and desperatly want! from selfcare to financial stepping stones, I'm dedicated in being here for you all! Thank you for taking the time to read this. I truly value all of you, and hope to see and here from you all soon, In Sha Allah.
